2009 LIVESTRONG Challenge - Another Great Opportunity for Exercise

Recommended Posts

The Lance Armstrong Foundation is once again sponsoring the LIVESTRONG Challenge in four cities this year: Seattle, Philly, San Jose, and Austin. There are walking, running, and cycling events, with a variety of different lengths for different skill levels. The events are six to ten months away, so plenty of time to put your band to good use in training to stretch yourself for a great cause. I'm getting banded in March and already training to complete the 100-mile bike ride in Seattle this coming June.

A favorite bike blogger of mine is a guy who knows the challenges of being overweight and has put together teams in all four LIVESTRONG cities in honor of his wife, Susan, who is fighting cancer herself. His blog is at www.fatcyclist.com and the post on Team Fatty is here: Team Fatty Livestrong Challenge.

You can go directly to the Team Fatty page for the city in which you would like to participate by following these links:

Austin

Philadelphia

San Jose

Seattle

Any other bandsters interested in taking the LIVESTRONG Challenge in 2009!?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
