He leaves behind a 1.5 yr old daughter who ADORED him sooo much, and a 2 yr old niece that looked forward to spending every moment she could with him. This is a TRAGEDY. My sister is destroyed. I dont know how to handle death. I am so sad.

Nicole, I'm so sorry to read about this tragedy in your family. I can't imagine the pain and shock you're all feeling right now. Please try to step away from the food and call a friend instead. Talk it out. Cry, scream and talk about about it. Stuffing it down with food will only harm yourself. Baby Aud needs you to be present with her as people around her are freaking out. Keep a safe space for the two of you.

Sending hugs your way.

Tamra, please make sure you get to the Wednesday night support groups. You're going to do great if you can stay focused on keeping your Band happy. I've been reading and re-reading the food stages so that when surgery gets here, I'll know exactly what I can eat. I'm not seeing french fries anywhere on the list of acceptable foods.

For me, being a compulsive eater, what I've learned is that if I open the door a crack (like 1 french fry), tomorrow it will be two. The only way for me to keep the food in it's rightful place is to not go there. I was a vegan for 9 years not too long ago. During that 9 years I never had a bite of sugar. I knew that 1 bite and I'd be face down in a chocolate cake.

So please try to get rid of those thoughts of "when can I have". They won't do anything to help you achieve your goal of being a healthy, slim woman.

Sugar and Carbs here Tamra..........if I start. I just don't keep the foods around the house. My craving was Nachos. I think I finally tried them at 12 weeks out and they weren't even good...........I didn't like them. French fries is a big no no but than again so is nachos............I agree better not to start them cause it only makes you crave more things..................

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Nicole.

I will be there Reggie - can you send me your address so I can figure out how to get there- I am familiar with the area but need to find your house.

So glad to hear you made it through ok Pat. The barium swallow made me feel sick too - I was also still woozy and had a hard time standing up to do it.

I can't keep some of us straight on here - I can put the name to the face when I see the pictures but the ones without pictures get confusing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
