Hi all!!!!

I have to admit...I am so proud of myself... Yesterday, I hit the treadmill and did 2.5miles... and I did it again today....I did 2.5miles and have walked 11,237 steps so far...I am wiped though...Maybe it will make up for the Margarita I had yesterday and the chocolate covered almonds I ate tonight... I plan to get on that treadmill everyday that I am off....

NEWS!!!! I WEASELED MY WAY INTO AN APPT WITH BOTH ROBIN AND DR WHO....I MEAN DR FISHER....

MY APPT IS JANUARY 4TH AT 8:30AM WITH ROBIN AND 9:00AM WITH DR FISHER....WHOO-WHOO!!!

I am so happy....I need this fill like never before... This is going to make me work harder to lose this 6,7,8++ lbs that I keep playing with...I need to break the 200 mark and enter Onederland by 1/4!!!!! That means I really have to watch it over the holidays....

Heather, welcome back!

Tamra-I'm ready to hit the gym when ever you are....Let's do this!!!!

Jes and all-I would like to get together with you all if we can agree on a good day and time...When is everyone free? It may be kind of difficult with the holidays....

Okay so my hand just hit something and I thought I lost my entire post....I'm posting now...I could say more.

Welcome back Heather - sure missed you but glad you had a good time.

Ok Riley - I just checked Yahoo and someone viewed my profile - what the heck - the guy's little profile says 57 yr old and then in his paragraph he says he is 53. His profile says his body type is average, but looking at his picture he has a gut on him - ok either he is lying or isn't very smart - doesn't know his age and is in denial that he is definitely a few extra pounds - which I don't mind, but let's be truthful. I put a few extra pounds on my profile. I definitely can't keep up with you though.

I had half a baked potato and 3 prawns for dinner. And then I just ate 4 bite size candies - so altogether not a bad day. All I am worried about right now is maintaining until after the holidays - and I won't freak out if I end up gaining a couple of pounds.

Gotta go check Facebook.< /p>

Pam, it just means he wrote his profile when he was 53, but Yahoo updates your age based on the year you were born. I think I wrote my profile a few years ago, but I don't put my age in it so it doesn't matter.

Riley, guys are strange. I met a man once, he said he was my age. This was about 10 years ago so he would have been late 40's. When I got to the restaurant, he was actually 62. I told him it was a shame for two reasons, 1. relationships are built on honesty and 2. I like younger men so someone that much older than me was definitely out. He said his friends told him to lie because women wouldn't go out with a 62 year old. Hah! now that I'm 59 I would. B)

Heather, welcome home. Sorry about that missed day waiting for the flight from He!!.

Monique, I want to make my pre-surgery goal by January 5th. Maybe we can do this together!

B. Protein Shake

L. spinach salad w/4 oz chicken, 2x2 brownie

D. 1/4 dark meat chicken, 1 wing, 1 apple

GHKWGHEWGHWEG 3 pieces of candy this afternoon

I was 232.6 on home scale this morning. down baby down

Glad you liked the cat Riley - so sorry bout #1, I mean #0 - how disappointing but i think the former #2, now known as #1 put a hex on it. have a good night and don't let the bed bugs bite LMFAO!

Monique - how did you get the apt with Doc Who? I was told there was nothing available - guess I need to call back in the a.m.

Heather - love that the best part of the trip was the plane seat belt - hahaha

Lee - you're a cougar - woo hoo! I think I would be too if I was single B)

Ok, so like, 3 of you have less than 10lbs to go - is that right?

I've been watching Robin Williams, at home ALONE and I just actually laughed OUT LOUD uncontrolably - he was talking about the stupid crap alcoholics say when they think they're cool - RE: pick up line: "are your parents retarded cause you sure are special" OMG, no he didn't!

good morning all, I feel you, Lee I'm up a pound too....I think my dinner last night was enough food for the whole day. very small portions but still, lobster, steak, spinach & baked potato. Wonder why I'm up a pound? Trying to romance the hubby, cooked a romantic dinner B)

I put my tree up last night, the kids were disappointed when I said I wasn't getting one so I buckled under pressure. What the heck Christmas is one a year. Good thing is it forced me to clean the dinning room to make room for it.

Welcome back Heather! we want to see pictures. Tamra you are rockin yea. And Miss Candra call the good Doc Who this morning.

Riley I started crackin up when I read your description of the former #1. Too funny.

Ok ladies let me get my day started... elliptical time.

Yes meeting the former #1 was an epic fail! LMAO - but not at him. Now I understand why he kept delaying our meeting - he knew. It was just SO dissapointing!

Things are all still good with new #1 tho. Four days in a row! We had a little slumber party last night :-) He gets his 10-year-old back today so he won't be over again until Christmas eveing. I am needing this break - I might actually start missing him if he'd stay away for a couple of days!! Ah jeez I don't know what I want.

I guess I have to pull my head out of the sand and finish my Christmas shopping now! What to buy for my old boys . . . .

Pami I think they put "average" because they figure that the "average" person of their age has some gut! I am trying to stay open on mine but had to lower the top age. Still, I keep getting viewed by guys in their 60s - new #1 is 44 and I tell you what, I am getting spoiled & don't want to go older than me now, LOL. Oh he is on Yahoo personals too!! My profile is crazy but effective if you PM me your email I will send you my profile. I have actually lost weight since all my pics that are on there (except the Christmas gold dress one), I claim "average" because I think the average american woman DOES have a few pounds to lose!! Maybe when I get to goal I will claim "fit" but with all this excess skin that doesn't seem right.

Hello All!!!

I am striving like Tamra! Hey girl! I plan to hit the treadmill in a few minutes and take my evening shower and chillax!!!

Beatriz-Thanks for the encouragement. I can't wait for the fill. How much did you lose post-op and before the fill? Have you lost any since the 1cc was added?

Mama Ash and Canolie-thanks for the encouragement, too! I am trying harder to stick to this....We are in this for life.

Tamra-you go girl...I am so proud of you.... Planning is the key for me too!!! I may make some Jello for later...

Riley-I am so happy you are having fun in the dating world...Yes, you may need to take a break...You sound so busy....I can barely keep up... and yes, us married people can sometimes be fun too! I would love to hang out with you all.. Just say where and when.

Jes-the romantic meal sounds so good. That may be our New Year's Eve Meal....If we don't end up going out.... Honestly, I am not pressed to go anywhere.... Everyday is a new day for me..LOL.

Candra-I called early last week and on last Friday and was told by Beverly that the January calendar was not out yet. She told me to call back this week. I called yesterday and spoke to Annabelle and I told her that it seems rather late for the January calendar not to be out as it is almost the end of December. She put me on hold and came back asking me when did I want to come...I was like, "Whoa!!!!" She said she needed to double check Robin's schedule and I could hear her speaking with Robin... She said she was squeazing me into the schedule.... Not sure if the calendar is our or what the heck is going on... She did offer me Jan 5 in Vacaville. Maybe you could get that appt.

Lee-yes, we can do this together!!! Let's go!!!

I know I'm forgetting some...I will catch you next time...I must go catch this treadmill while I am a tiny bit motivated......................................................

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

      2. Selina333

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

      3. Doughgurl

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
