Ok I had a fill on Wednesday. My doc gave me 1cc. I felt fine. I drank my Water and it went down. About 30 min later while driving back home, I started to get pain in my chest and my stomach started to hurt. I tried to keep going but the pain got worse. I pulled over and called the doc office and told the receptionist my symptoms and she told me to come back in. So I turned around and drove back. An hour later I arrive and she takes me back. She removes .5ccs. I feel better and drink the water. Everything was fine. The receptionist recomended I wait a little while in the waiting room to make sure everything stayed ok. I waited about 15-20 min. then headed back out on he road. Got to about the same place as before and the pain started again just not as bad. So I thought, just let me make it home and I will lay down and I will feel better. Well I was in pain for the rest of the night. Although the pain was less, it continued into the next day. All I ate was chicken broth and saltines. So finally today I felt a little better. For dinner I got some chicken corn Soup and ate just a few bites. It seemed like everything went down fine until about 15min later. I got really stuck. Terrible pain in my chest and stomach.

My questions are...has this ever happened to anyone else? I thought being too tight would just make it hard to get things down or cause PBs, why am I in so much pain? It's not pain from being stuck, its pain all the time. When I do get suck, is there anything I can do to get unstuck or move things along faster? I heard that meat tenderiser works to get unstuck, does it work? I know I'm really tight right now but do you think I will loosen up or should I go back to the doctor yet again for an unfill? This pain is very uncomfortable at times it keeps me wake all night. Any feedback is appreciated. Oh and at times I have the runs too. I lost 8lbs since Wedneday.

Do you live in a higher elevation than where your doctor's office is? It seems strange that the pain starts at the same place each time. I have heard that air pressure can cause you to be tighter. Either way, I hope that you feel better soon.

I'm not sure. But I live in PA and I drive about an hour and half to go down to Frederick, MD. Maybe that does have something to do with it.

No, sorry. Haven't heard of that.

You may be a patient who needs adjustments under the guidelines.

I'd get .25 cc. Go back in 4 weeks for .25cc more. Take it easy.

Weightloss will come. Just don't hurt yourself in the process.

you would be surprised how just .25/.50/.75 will do the trick for a fill. i've had an episode similar to yours where i got 1.5cc's and had to go in the next morning and get 1cc taken out. then a wk later get .25 out.......apparently .25 was all i needed.

i also have to drive an hr to my dr & it's a PITA - but being over filled is not good for the band or your health. hope your feeling better!

my doctor has always recommended liquids for me the rest of the day after a fill. once, i was "over-filled", and this last time, he recommended 2 days of liquids.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
