Recommended Posts

Anyone know of a doctor other than fillcenterusa that will do fills for patients who had surgery done in another state?

Cassy,

From my experience, there are 4 practices in Nevada. Two are new and two are established. I believe Dr. Atkinson's practice will take on patients but there is usually a $300 fee. I think you will need to call each one. I have referred three people to Dr. Teng's practice and they were not pleased with the recepton, or lack thereof.

Why don't you join us in Novemebr. There are a couple folks in our little group that have met all of the doctors. We would love to have you. Look at out thread on the November get-together at the Elephant Bar in The District, across from Green Vally Ranch Hotel and Casino.

Good Luck!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make the event but I'll make it a point to go to the next one. I see what you mean about Dr. Teng. I've called and emailed and received no call back.

Dr. Atkinson seems to have an attitude when it comes to people who are not his patients so I'm not sure I want to deal with that either. I think I'm going to check out the fill center doc. My luck it will end up being one of them...ha

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
