Thanks Kristi for making my day!

Thank you KRISTI!

Today Kristi gave me some boxes of clothes that are way too big for her. I didn't think I could fit into any of them because I'm in a 20 right now, but the first thing I tried on, this skirt actually fit me and it's an 18!!!!!!!!! an 18. I'm beside myself! When I started this thing I was wearing slightly baggy 28's (26's were too tight). I didn't think I'd be able to actually put on and zip up an 18 and it zipped right up.. So, thank you again Kristi and your clothes are really nice, so I'm going to be looking fashionable at work. Of course, this shirt in the picture is just one of my ratty shirts, but the skirt fit. Yay.. you can't tell in the picture, but the skirt is like a long pencil type skirt. And I chopped off my head because I look absolutely hideous right now and there are awful shadows on the back wall, but you get the idea. But yay.

PS: I just looked at the picture and I'm standing funny so my feet look weird. LOL. I did this little knee up thing.. I promise to never do that pose AGAIN. lol

Oh YAY!!! I'm so happy for you! And I LOVED that skirt when I used to wear it. There's another one similar to it, same size, in a purple pattern. I'M SO HAPPY YOU CAN WEAR THEM!!! Woo hoo! Here you were thinking you're a 20, and you're actually an 18! I am so freakin' proud of you, I could cry!

Well, not all the 18's fit me, only some of them, those skirts included. But, even if I can get one 18 zipped up, I'm excited. LOL. As soon as I saw those skirts I got excited. Very expensive high end skirts. You always dress so cute though! I promise to put them to good use and pass them on to another lapbander.

I'll be onto my size 8 and then 6 pretty soon, and you'll be ready for that size 10 chocolate brown pant suit I wore to lunch yesterday. I'll be so happy when I can give it to you! (And I don't think that skirt looked nearly as good on me as it does on you!)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
