I still fell sore, I had the procedure in August 12th. Have you talked with the Dr.? The Dr. said for me is still ok, just have not healed inside as fast as the outside.

I, too, have port pain still. I was banded on Aug 8. It mostly shows up if I'm doing a lot of bending down. I swear it feels like I'm being bruised from the inside. I think it's supposed to go away at some point.

I was banded on July 8 and today was the first time I have experienced port pain. It's almost a burning pain. I don't know if I moved the wrong way and hurt it or not.

I didn't have port pain until 3 weeks post op. In one week it went from pinching and pulling to overwealming agony. I went to the surgeon and I had a seroma on my port (seroma is a pocket of serous fluid). He just stuck a needle into it and drained it. Talk about immediate releif! I had to return a week later and had it drained again. It should be totally cleared up soon.

If you feel that something is out of the ordinary just call your surgeon. I was ready to chalk it up to healing, but I'm glad I didn't because I was really suffering.

I am so glad you posted this. I woke up this morning and am still having serious pain. I think I am going to call my Dr this morning.

Well I called this morning and ended up going into my Drs office to be seen. He thought that maybe I hit the area and pulled the muscle that the port is sewn into. I'm glad that it was ok and I was also able to get my fill today instead of on Fri.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
