surgery in january only lost 32 lbs. had to have a complete unfill at one point...

I think I only have about 3ccs in my 10cc band now.

I havent been losing alot lately and I know why its because I have been binging. I just thought this thing would help with the binging but it hasnt been lately maybe I need a fill I dont know. I mean I dont even know if it would be considered binging.

I ate almost an entire frozen pizza it was one of those tostino pizzas so I know its not a huge one but its about hte size of a small pizza from a fast food pizza place.

im not feeling full. I had half a can of tuna fish for Breakfast and I dont feel like I even ate anything I dont feel full in the upper part of my stomach and I certainly dont feel anything in the lower part.

I am rambling I am sorry. I am just frustrated because it seems lately to be 100 percent me and 0 percent the band and I just want it to be a team if that makes sense.

Sounds like you are in need of a fill. You shouldn't be able to eat most breads (except maybe toast). My doc says if you can eat bread, you are too lose. Call your doctor and schedule a fill.

Hey

There is no way your band is right if you can eat tuna in the morning. I am lucky to be able to drink v8 juice in the morning. I did go to the doctor yesterday and have some fill let out. My band had 3 cc in it, I do not know how much it holds. It is an old model she said. (thanks Doc) anyway she let out .5 so now it has 2.5, since Feb fill I have lost 50 pounds. I still have a long way to go I am at 219, was at 340. So I am telling you to work your band, call doc and tell them you can eat tuna in the morning, they know you should not be able to do that. I have had my band for two years, I have only been working with it this last year, before it was so loose and I did not understand that I had no restriction. So go for it girl, make it work for you.

It seems fairly straightforward that you need a fill. There is no way you should be able to ingest almost all of an entire pizza if you had appropriate restriction. It is not like a slider food that goes straight down.

In the mean time, you want to choose healthy choices for what you are eating. A tostino's pizza has like a gazillion calories and is very high in fat.

You may need to just go back to basics. If you are hungry, eat, but eat healthy things. You can eat a ton of veggies without butter or oil and not ingest many calories. Your base should be lean Proteins and veggies while limiting processed carbs, really high fat foods, slider foods, processed carbs and sweets.

You can definitely get back on track with a fill and eating healthy with exercise thrown in. Binging behavior is something most of us bandsters have dealt with. I found the best way to combat this for me is to eat when I am hungry. I don't deny myself, I just make healthy choices. Good luck.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
