I was banded on 6/26 and I also wonder about the normalcy of my progress. I take a moment every afternoon to browse through these threads. It dosn't take long to see that we are really all the same. Hope LBT helps you too.

Congrats on your weight loss; you seem to be doing great. I was banded on 6/30 and have lost about 18lbs. I seem to be at a standstill that has lasted two weeks. I know I need to schedule my first fill, but haven't yet. Once I get that fill, hopefully the weightloss will get a jumpstart again. I was doing well with eating small portions and not being hungry between, but no weight loss in two weeks, the only thing I am guessing is I need to schedule that fill.

Best wishes to you and I hope to continue reading your success stories on the boards.

Stephanie

Oh by the way, Have you added yourself to the June bandsters? They are a great bunch of people. There is also someone keeping a log of everyone's progress.

Hi- thank you. I sat after a 15# week for 2 weeks- then when I had my first fill- went down another 5# and have sat again. I am scheduled for my next fill on 9/8/08 in Madison WI--I had the surgery in Houston TX so had to find another provider in my state for f/u. I just hope I don't keep needing fills to keep it moving --I am eating WAY less than I was before and some mild exercise a few times a week. I remain positive--but of course we all want it off faster !! I forget it took me 18 years to put it all on- have another 100 to go,.

I was banded in June also. I do not know how to join the group. Can you tell me?

You all are doing great with your weight loss :) 18-20 pounds is right on par for the average weigh loss. I lose about 8-10 pounds a month and I am at my sweet spot. Keep it up you're all doing well!

Thank you for your kind support. In the end, I know I am taking much better care of myself with my food choices, volume, drinking more Water and my swimming than I have in a long time. That is the kind of help you can not see as it is going on inside !! You too are doing great at 8-10 a month. My first goal is to get below 200- have not seen that since 1991 !!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
