I had my first fill on July 9th last Wednesday. After three days I feel like I am right back to where I was before the fill. I am still getting hungry especially in the evenings. Does this mean that I need to go in for another fill right away or do I have to wait a period of time. I am really confused. :confused2:

I remember when I was getting my first few fills, wondering if they would ever last for more than a few days. Well, I just got my 10th fill and have finally hit the sweet spot. It takes some time to get there, so don't feel discouraged. As long as you are losing 1 - 2 pounds per week you are doing good. My advice is to listen to your doctor and your body and follow the rules. And be patient with the process.

It might depend on your doctor. I get my first fill this Thursday. I was told that for the first year, I need to come in at least once a month to have my restriction checked but if after one week after a fill I feel that I have no restriction or too much I can call and get another adjustment--I don't have to wait until the following month.

I had my first fill and was good for the 1st few days. Now I'm hungry again and can eat whatever I want. My doctor has me go in every 4-6 weeks. Would be nice if I could go in more often though.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
