Looking for a Doctor in Oklahoma

Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me the doctors doing this surgery in Oklahoma...

My younger brother is in serious need of this or the other surgery but unfortunately isn't good about finding things out for himself...comes from being the baby of the family I guess...

Anyway, I'm trying to get information for him....

Thanks

I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. I went to a doctor in Norman Oklahoma, Dr. Keith. You may want to check there, I'm sure more doctors perform the surgery, but he is the only one that I know of.

Jeannie,

Thanks so much...I will pass it on...he's being resistant...I'm hoping when he sees me and the progress I'm making it will help him decide....

I thought I would give you an update. Yesterday was exactly 2 weeks since I had the band. I lost over 15 pounds in that 2 weeks! I still have a long ways to go but I never could have done that in 6 months on my own. I asked the nurse if the scale was right. I was just so shocked! I won't lie, it is difficult sometimes and I have had moments of "buyer's remorse" but when you hear that number starting to come down the regrets seem to dissappear.

GOOD FOR YOU! Isn't it wonderful!

I can't praise this device enough! It's given me back the control and motivation I desparately needed!

I getting ready to really test it...I'm leaving on vacation this Tuesday...will be gone for 5 weeks and I opted not to get a fill because it was so close to leaving and my band isn't supported in the US...SO, here comes a test!

I believe I am going to be fine, I am so committed to this and the initial results have been so positive...

Thank you. Congrats on your loss too. I know it's only been two weeks for me but I really feel that this was one of the best things I have ever done in my whole life. Have a safe and fun trip. Our last vacation was in March so I haven't been out of town with my "little buddy" yet. MAybe this fall before school starts again. Take care and say hello when you get back.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
