Are these normal feelings and pains?

Recommended Posts

Had my band on Monday the 16th. Doin' ok i guess. The pain in my shoulders and neck can be unbearable at times and I can't really explain the belly pain, it kinda feels like my belly drops when i stand up. it's strange. Not to mention i feel everything i swallow--is there anything that helps this feeling??? any suggestions would be great.

Good luck to all you june bandsters out there.

Leah

Leah--

Sounds very normal to me. They pump you full of air to blow up your belly so they can put the band in. There are some people who seem to get through this stage fast -- but I don't think that is most people. I couldn't lie down in bed for 2 weeks. Sat up on the couch with my feet on an ottoman all night! Drink Water, take pain pills if they gave them to you --- or pain reliever. It will pass (sos to speak!). If you continue to worry or something really feels wrong --- call your MD. They SHOULD welcome your call and put you at ease. They get paid a lot of money and that includes aftercare.

Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
