3 months with no weight loss

Recommended Posts

the scale hasnt moved much lately. i may lose 3-5 lbs but i gain it back. i have to say that since my last fill on april 15th i am doing so much better. i havent had any fast food, i did have chinese once, and 1 slice of pizza since then but thats about it. i do treat myself to a kids size vanilla soft serv ice cream from dairy queen once a week. i may have one day a week where i eat every 3 hours and feel bad about it when i do because i try to only eat 3 meals and maybe mid day snack, so when i have a bad day and snack it bothers me. im trying to calculate my calories and i am eating more than i used to. my nutrionist told me to eat around 1500 and i would lose. somedays i think i eat around 1700. what worked for me in the beginning was eating 1200 calories and exercising 3 times a week for one half hour. i lost like 6 pounds every other week for one month. now i am eating 1700 calories and exercising 5 days a week for 45 min with no weight loss. NO BRAINER, EAT LESS CALORIES RIGHT? i really need to do this but find it hard to go back to that. now that i can eat more than in the beginning its hard to eat that amount. i could use some encouragement on getting back to the beginning, is this doable?

i believe all of us can say we have been where you are. Why we overeat or take that "extra" taste is how we got to where we are. You know you can make those hard choices sometimes it is just easier than others. Do not beat yourself up when you make the incorrect choice reward yourself if only by telling yourself what a winner you are. I really think we are hardest on ourselves. So do what works for you even tho you may not lose as quickly as you want even 1 pound is more than before. Hang in there visit this site and let us know how you are doing

Congrats on the wgt loss and effort you've put into it!:tongue2:

Just a thought, are you drinking enough Water? I was stuck and very discouraged and discovered I needed to drink more water than 8 cups a day to lose. It's hard to get it all drank, and many times I don't, but I do try.

andielmt,

Hey congrats on how far you have come! Just remember a few things...This takes a lifetime to learn how to eat all over again. Don't beat yourself up. I am sure you didn't gain the weight overnight. You may be losing more inches right now. That is okay too! Just remember that we all make mistakes..Maybe try one week without any treats, see if that helps not to mention, try the water...I have a horrible time with boredom and nervousness. I always go to put food in my mouth when I am not even hungry...I am now trying to tell myself in my head to grab my homework and study my notes every time I get bored. I will also tell you after you get so used to working out and staying busy to avoid food, the less I have really wanted it..Now I am just having a problem sitting still! We all have are gliches..I have only lost like 4 lbs in one month and a half...I am not exercising because of time and I can tell a big difference.. No matter what you do just take it one day at a time...Like anyone else with any type of addiction, it takes time!! Don't give up!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
