Hi! Congratulations! I hope all is well with your gallblader surgery. Dr. Cavazos performed my surgery. I haven't really been to a group but I'm interested in joining one in the Downtown/Near Northwest side of town.

Thanks, Dr. Wright is my dr. Do you go to the monthly meetings that they have at nix, those are always really good. We were trying to get together a walking group on the NW side, but i have not heard back from teh other 2 folks that siad they lived over there.

I'm going to private message you.

San Antonio here also! Just got banded July 18 and doing good so far. I lost a few pounds the first few days after surgery, but have been stuck ever since I started the "slider" phase with soups, oatmeal, and yogurt :( Curious if anyone else recently banded encountered this?? Thanks!

When I started the mushies/soft foods, I actually started gaining back the weight I had lost. At my 2 wk appt, I told the Dr about this weight gain and he gave me a fill then. Just keep at what you are doing!

Oh ok, thanks! I saw the doc today for my 1 week post-op and he said its too early for a fill. I have another appt 1month post-op on 22 August - maybe I can get a fill then if I don't start losing the weight.

i was banded july 26th and since surgery i lost 19lbs but have gaining/losing like a yo-yo 3lbs. bandster hell is what everyone keeps telling me it is. i guess i should be happy it's only been 3lbs rather than all 19lbs back on! i go for my first fill in 2 days and I CAN'T WAIT!

Hi there! Congrats... I'm banded 4 years and still yoyo  but started at 240... down to 160.. I still have 20 to go.

Got my first fill today - 1cc. I was pretty surprised when my PA told me that I had 3cc in my band already since surgery...I felt no restriction at all and started to gain some weight back. I wanted her to add as much as possible right away, but she said that they add little by little and try to get into the green zone with as little fluid as possible because having too much fluid can cause more harm than good. I am on soft foods tomorrow and then slowly back to solids. She wanted to see me back in 2 weeks, but they didn't have an appt. till 11Sept. Depending on my progress, or lack of it, I would get another fill I guess. Hopefully this works! Does anyone know what is an average amount of fluids that it takes to get into the green zone??
