Hairloss
I was banded almost two years ago. Ever since then I have been shedding hair more or less every other month. My hair grows back, but it's almost always thinner at top. I've been taking biotin, I get enough protien, etc. Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions as to what can be done?

May 2010 Bandsters
I just wanted to see how my fellow May 2010 Bandsters are doing. I had an extremely difficult year (not related to the band) but I'm better now. The band was definitely one of the few things that kept me from going bananas. I'm down about 70lbs. I'm still working on eating healthy and working out. I'm really excited about my life. I hope everyone that has had the band feels the same. It really improved my life.

2nd fill and still eating a lot?
No, I'm pretty good about only eating when I'm hungry. Like I said, I just feel like my restriction isn't at the right spot yet. Whatever it is, it isn't preventing me from losing weight, which I guess is what matters. I guess I can't complain.

2nd fill and still eating a lot?
Hi y'all, I got my surgery on May 5th and I'm currently on my second fill. While I eat a lot less than I did pre-surgery, I feel like my food intake hasn't gone down since I was allowed to start eating solid food again. I do stay full a lot longer. I eat Breakfast and lunch and at dinner I'm usually too full to have a meal, so I'll just have some fruit. I know that I'm still trying to find that "sweet spot" as far as fills are concerned but what I find so odd is that my food intake has not decreased even slightly with 2 fills. Has this happened to anyone else?

How do you get all of your protein in?
I can do one protein shake a day but not two, but if I must I must. I just want to get an idea of what some of y'all are doing to get all the protein you need in each day. Thanks

Who is having surgery this week (May 3-7)
Right now my work schedule makes it nearly impossible to pack a lunch as I'm out of the office for the most part and refrigeration is not an option. I think Wendy's will have to be my go-to lunch during the soft food stage. I had the chili and just thought, "Where has this been all my life?" haha Last night I met up with friends for Thai. I had Kee Mao which is really soft noodles and veggies with soft tofu. It was quite delicious. I feel my restriction diminishing as well. I'm not scheduled for my next dr's visit until June 13th. Are any of you thinking about doing an additional diet regiment as well? I've been reading on here that some people have done Weight Watchers and have had excellent results. I'm interested in doing one in order to learn better nutrition. I'll have to ask my doc though.

Who is having surgery this week (May 3-7)
I just had to post something about a great "soft food" I had today. Everyone else may know about this, but I'll tell y'all just in case you don't. I went to Wendy's and had their Chili and a baked potato. It's was pretty amazing. I highly recommend it.

I think you should try your hardest to not let that bum you out. Personally, I'm only weighing myself when my doctor does it because I don't want to let a number determine my success. I would suggest that when you feel down about not being restricted enough or something else, that you focus on how much better you feel. I know my quality of life has already vastly increased. I want to name my band too! I start the soft food stage tomorrow. Although, I'm still afraid to eat. I'm not sure what my restriction will be. What are some of the things y'all ate or will eat during this stage?

Who is having surgery this week (May 3-7)
I'm only a few days away from soft foods! I can't wait! I've been living off nothing but Protein shakes, Water, and popsicles because broths gross me out so much. My doctor says my progress is going super well. I've already lost weight in the double digits. I started going to the gym today. I can't believe I was able to do 20 mins, but it did kick my butt. Now if I could only wake up at 6:30 to go to the gym before work every morning! Good luck to everyone!

Who is having surgery this week (May 3-7)
My surgery went excellent! I went to sleep and don't remember a thing. When I woke up, I thought I still hadn't gone in. I was so tired but I had to take the moment in. I couldn't believe that within a few hours my life had completely changed. Hope everyone's surgery went well.

What was the most difficult to get used to post-op?
In your experience, what was the most difficult thing to get used to after the surgery? My surgery is May 5th and I'm just trying to get all my questions out. Thanks y'all!
