Losing pound after Surgery

Wow, congrats to those of you who have lost weight!!:wink_smile: I am 13 days out and gained 4 pounds. :tt2: I am only getting in about 850 calories but still gaining. I think my big problem is being constipated (can't believe I am talking about that).

That can certainly be a big issue. Have you tried taking stool softeners? Make sure it is the liquid/chewable kind though. Also, you could be retaining Water. There is no way that you can gain weight on 850 calories without those 2 things causing issues. The scale can't tell between 4 pounds of Water retained and 4 pounds of fat. Just keep doing what you are doing and it should start coming off. Have you tried walking a little bit. That will sometimes help get things moving!

Yeah, I have been taking Fiber choice and getting in about 6,000 to 7,000 steps a day. I do feel better the more I walk.:wink_smile: Thanks for the suggestions.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
