Hello every one I"d like to tell you a story about buying a cheap $20.00

been eating alot less. smaller portion's lot's of Water lot's of walking & walking

some more & even a little jogging. I thought I, was down to 264 after to month's

I got up weighed my self 3 time's 264 wow im doing good steped back on that cheap scale now I weighed 220 then 215 what the heck is going on!!!!!

Here's the catch < went up and bought a new one life time warrinty > it is a Medical scale steped on it and I really weighed 274 I felt so bad like was beat up I' would of rather took a beating the have that Ten pound's back on.......

I. almost just gave up it was a tuff day the juck food was looking good!

But then I' looked in the mirrow my face was slimmer I' still was down 34 Plus pound's... so learn from my mistake.....buy a good Scale!!!

Take care God bless you all.....John

AW man! Bummer! But you DID lose, so that's really great. I went ahead and spent $40 on a good digital at Target, it measure to the tenth of a pound and has been accurate so far, so I'm happy. I had a $10 scale and, well, what you said, but it didn't trick me into believing I had lost all kinds of weight! I might have kept it! lol

Hey, I like your new picture avatar...yer a handsome dude!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
