saran wrap

Recommended Posts

ok I have an odd question...while working out does anyone wrap their abs in suran wrap?? :confused2: I see a few women at my gym that do this and being the odd duck that I am I wanted to try it. so I was just wondering if anyone does it and what does it do for you? does it help you suck it in? help lose weight in that area? can I do this with my thighs also?

lots of silly questions I know but if anyone has done this or knows anything about it I would appreciate the info.

My mom used to do this while she was working out, something about making you sweat more, or something of that nature, shoot, why not try it out, if it makes a difference, let me know.

I also had a friend would would buy like plastic suits to wear under her work out clothes, again, designed to make you sweat more.

I dont know what the validity of those claims are, but its very interesting.

Saran Wrap insulates you while you exercise, basically dehydrating yourself. People use it as a very temporary spot treatment, e.g. on the upper arms before an evening in a strapless gown. You "sweat off inches" (as it's advertised at the spas that offer it for about $150 a pop), but drink a glass of Water and those inches come right back.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
