I weighed myself today and discovered I had lost 21 kilos since my op on Jan 16. I am excited but I am finding I am seriously lacking energy, especially since my 2nd fill last week (march 25)

I usually have oats for brekkie, maybe a yoghurt for lunch (find it hard to eat lunch) a banana in the afternoon and a small dinner, usually an omlette or quiche, sometimes a stir fry.

I am glad to be 20 kilos lighter, but i battle to get out of bed and keep up with my son. i need healthy, lap band friendly food.< /p>

Can anyone help, i would be most greatful:biggrin2:

Thank you very much

Swap your Breakfast of oats and yoghurt for some high Protein. Did you know that a poached egg and slice of fatfree bacon is lower in calories (and fat!) than Cereal and skim milk or oats? You will feel much better for it - more energy and will feel fuller for longer.

I am taking the advice which was given to me which included Protein to stop hunger. You have done really well since Jan keep up the good work, but unlike me you have a youngster to run around after so yep you cant get tired which a child will do to you. I got banded on 18 sep 2007 and lost 27 kilos so you doing real real well, i started at weight 102. lost from 115 over 2 years myself before the band, we will over come our problems and get to our goal!

Add in the Protein as suggested, but also watch your Iron intake. Anemia can make you feel low-energy. Your doc can test for it pretty easily.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
