Saying GoodBye to SIZE 20's FOREVER!!

Recommended Posts

I want to shout it to the mountain top, I have finally made it back into my size 18's....wow and in only 4 1/2 months since surgery even. I am so very happy I could just cry. It has been 5 years since my butt has been in my favorite pair of jeans and I have gone from a 3X shirt to a large or XLarge.

I am working hard toward my next GOAL which is to be under 200 pounds by June 1st. I want to make that goal and I think I might do it!!

Wow it feels good to start feeling sexy again. I have gone from a size 26-28 to and 18 and I do feel very sexy again!! Yippee for this Grandma!!

Kristin:

Congratulations. I know how you feel. On surgery day I weighed 287, and now I'm at 209. I was wearing 26/28's last April and now 18's. Can't wait for 16's, 14's, and 12's. Later this year for both of us.

We're both right around the corner from Onederland. Hope to meet you there soon.

Congratulations again.

Sue

I was banded Dec 20 2007.

A few weeks out, I could sqeeze into some old 20s I had put away.

A few more weeks, I tried again, & some of the 18s seemd to work, but, there was still a pile in the bottom drawer hidden away...

Today, I can wear all the 18s, some are even too big in the legs & butt & I can sqeeze into the 16s!

Although my mom has always said, you can't go by the number size cause all seem to differ, it still is a WONDERFUL feeling!

I even bought a new dress today ~ tried one on from the Jr section & it fit!

Yeap it is truly a great feeling. I am so happy it was a huge goal that I wanted to obtain, and I am definately heading down. I have looseness in the 18's and I am thrilled with that as well!!

Congrats on the Juniors Department, I will be there soon I know it!!

Congratulations!!!!

I've no doubt it feels absolutely WONDERFUL to wear your favorite jeans. I foolishly gave away all my "skinny" clothes (anything 16 and under.... what was I thinking?!) a while back to help me feel better about wearing 18W pants.

I'm being banded in two weeks (yahoo!!!!) and I know I'm going to have to shop while I lose. Sigh. I HATE to shop!

I went shopping today and I found a pair of Angel jeans that I absolutely loved and just had to have. They have butterflies embroidered on the legs and with sequins I just adore them. Well they only had a size 16 no 18 so I thought what the hell.....I tried those babies on and they slid right on and zipped easily.......I was blown away and still am.

I cannot believe it! It has been 15 years since I had on size 16 jeans....LOL

:) The band is my friend!!

Congratulations, that is wonderful! What an inspiration you are! I haven't gotten approval yet but my size is like yours was and I want so bad to lose it but have a terrible time on my own. How did you lose so many sizes so quickly? Did you exercise a lot? I could use any help for when I do get my band. Thanks.

Yes I work out six days a week religiously. I can tell you the work out is worth every minute of it too. It maked me feel great and at the same time it is reshaping my body. I have followed the plan strictly. I do not eat more than I should be at one sitting, and I drink lots and lots of Water.

I just don't have issues with food anymore.....I instead eat because my body needs it. I don't comfort myself by eating anymore. The weight has just come off. I am amazed as you are, I know that I am working hard at staying the course.....there is nothing that will cause me to Detour I can tell you. I am too happy with my success to date to sabatoge myself.

I can feel ONDERLAND just around the bend.....LOL

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
