Hi Reen!

What a great birthday present! I am being banded on your birthday. (My birthday is actually in April, so I consider it an early present) Good luck!

I have my pre-op marathon the same day. I am actually looking forward to it because it is one last thing I do prior to my surgery!

How are you doing? I am excited and scared and having trouble sleeping. Also, this board is my new addiction!

Hi Reen,

I am being banded the same day as you. My surgery is scheduled for 10am. I live in Oregon and my Dr is in Eugene. It's about 70 miles from where I live so we will most likely go up the night before so we don't have to travel so early in the morning. Good luck to you and let's keep in touch. Kathy

I am doing okay.

I can't get in enough Water.

I showered yesterday and found they left a EKG sticker on my back (lol)

I am sore, but I am getting up and walking around.

I lost 8 lbs since Tuesday, March 25

Bill'sWife - why are you going back to work already? I hope you have a desk job. I took 2 weeks off.

Hi I was banded on the 26th as well and I am finding I have not lost much weight at all compared to everyone else. My weight loss to date is only 2kg - help what is happening and I'm hungry:sad:

I was banded on 3/26 by Dr Rantis also! I was done late in the afternoon. I have lost 40 lbs so far. The weight loss has slowed down, but I couldn;t have done it withour my band!

1hotmama, where are you in Schaumburg ?

I would like a walking partner. I live about 3 miles West of Alexian Brothers Hospital (Dr. Rantis's Office).

I have not updated my Ticker yet, but I have lost 28 lbs since surgery.

and a total of 56 lbs since December 3, 2007. That is when I started my 90 day weight loss for the insurance company to cover the surgery.

I have only had 1 fill of 2 cc's in April. I know it sounds odd, but I feel some restriction with just 1 fill. I am scheduled for my 2nd fill on Thursday, July 3. My band is a 10 cc band. :smile2:

Bill'sWife - How are you doing ?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
