Treadmill Needed

Recommended Posts

Hey people. I was just banded on February 11th and am so excited to get healthy. I'm a single mother of a small child. I need to get in exercise but it seems virtually impossible with him. We've been taking walks when the weather permits but I cannot get much speed going while walking with him. I really cannot afford a gym and feel guilty about having him in daycare all day long while at work, only to take him to another daycare at the gym! So, I'm looking for a reasonably priced treadmill! I'm in Kansas City, Missouri..so if any of you guys have a treadmil you no longer want/need and would like to get rid of it..let me know. Thanks!!:)

Check out Craigslist.com. There are usually a few treadmills on there each day. Most for not too much.

I can't believe I stumbled on your thread. I'm in the Kansas City, KS area though I'm under 5 miles from the KCMO city market. My DH has been pushing me to sell my treadmill and I was going to try to put it up on Craigs List this week.

It is an I-Fit Treadmill with a padded belt. I don't really want rid of it but DH doesn't think I use it enough and we are short on funds right now. It originally cost around $900. But I haven't had time to research what it is worth used. I can PM you with my phone number if you'd like me to tell you what I find out and if you'd like to come by and try it out. How old is your child? I have a 4 year old son and a full time job. I can definitely relate to your not wanting to move him from one daycare to another just to work out.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
