:crying:Ok went this last Tues for my 4th fill and have had trouble eating since then. Tonite it was hard to get a popsicle down. I was ok drinking the Water in the office after the fill but like the next day it was hard to get anything mushy down and it has continued. Tomorrow is Sunday and well I have slimed several times since this last fill so I am ready for Monday to get here.....I need some taken out. For those of you who have had to have a slight unfill has that set you back any on your progress. I had surgery Oct 24th of 2007 and have lost around 35 lbs. I feel great except for all this stuck mess and sliming.

It's not fun, is it? I feel for ya. I've had to deal with it more than a couple times.

You'll feel 100% better with a slight defill, if it does set you back at all, it won't be nearly as bad as if you try to stick it out, and end up having to get a complete defill.

Good luck. Try to get as much Water down as you can until Monday.

You are wise to follow your logic and get an unfill Monday. It won't slow you down! In fact, being too tight can cause so many problems that it will inhibit weight loss AND you'll feel miserable. I was over filled and ignored it. Stomach swelled, making it worse. I had to get a COMPLETE unfill Dec. 14 and yesterday just got my fourth fill back to restriction after having no restriction for almost 2.5 months! Luckily, I didn't gain, but I had to really "white knuckle" it! SO, not to worry...once you have perfect restriction, you'll be feeling...PERFECT! LOL! Good luck!

Well I am definately calling Dr. office in the morning and getting in to get an unfill. I know I will feel so much better. So it is pure liquid until Tuesday at least. Water is becoming hard to get down without feeling like a rock between my boobs. There is a lady at our church and she and I have the same Dr. she just went this last week for an unfill and she said she feels so much better. I got to thinking though I am losing an avg of almost 9 lbs a month I can actually reach my goal before my bandiversary in Oct. If that is not motivation I don't know what to call it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
