I'm sure there are some people out there getting banded that didn't make it on the official surgery list, so good luck to all of you as well.

Indeed, thanks for posting this. I'm slated for Wednesday afternoon, and while as the time gets closer I'll admit to getting somewhat nervous about it, it's full steam ahead!

Thanks Anna for posting this thread and thanks to everyone else for the well wishes! I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday morning. I live in Missouri and we have gotten a lot of ice so I am hoping a lot of the ice is gone by Wednesday. I am getting so excited for my surgery!!!

Anna, I think we are on the same day (February 13th). What time is your surgery? I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am so I am thinking my surgery will be around 7:00am. Good Luck to Everyone. I will be sure and post after surgery.

Kimberly :smile2:

Good luck, it really isn't as bad as it feels like it will be. Just remember to WALK it off! that is the best thing I did. The pain is REALLY manageable, if you are female and had a child, it is nothing compared to birth.

See you on the banded side.

Thanks for all the good wishes. It's an exciting week to be entering bandland. Good luck to everyone this week.

My surgery is at 10 a.m. on Friday. What a way to start the weekend. It works out nice since DH will be home all weekend and Monday (Federal Holiday) so he won't have to take but one day off work and I won't be alone for the first few days.

Hi Everyone,

I had my surgery yesterday, and I am feeling great! A wee bit of gas pain, but the Gassex strips are taking care of that. As far as incision pain, it is very, very minimal. If I would have had to, I could have gone back to work today.

Good luck to the rest of my fellow Victorious Valentines!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
