New Year's Knockouts how many lbs did you lose by the time your first month of surgery rolled around. Even if you gained some of it back (like me) when you started to eat solids again, just post the original loss. Congrats to those of you who have maintained the loss from the liquid stage. I lost 19 then gained back 6 :glare:.

I lost 25 lbs. my first 4 weeks. Haven't gained anything back yet, but have been really cautious about moving back on to real food.

I am a little overwhelmed today for some reason. I have 60 pounds to go, and it seems like a duanting task. I suppose that is  normal.

It was just 4 weeks and I've lost 20lbs! Here's my loss pattern so far:

Week 1- 13.5 lbs

Week 2- 1.5 lbs

Week 3- 2 lbs

Week 4- 3 lbs

I'm very happy with my loss so far and I hope to continue to lose 2lbs a week, but any loss is good!

I lost 21 pounds the first month then came to a standstill when i started adding more real food. I did not feel any restriction and could eat anything. I went for my first fill today. It was not too bad. I have a total of 3cc now. I am hoping this helps my attitude too. I really want to add more exercise to my daily routine.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day.:D

That's encouraging, Seajules! You had about the same to lose as I did, and I'd be over the MOON with 21 pounds this first month!!!

I've lost about 25 pounds. My problem is that I didn't calculate my home scale to the scale of my doctor. I won't go in for another 2 weeks for my first fill to get the actual total. I know I was down 13 pounds from the time I started my 2 week pre-op diet to the first week after surgery.

It's nice having clothes that are starting to fall off of you. :biggrin2:

I am down 27 pounds since my surgery on January 23 feeling great. A little nervous about moving on to regular foods. I don't want to fall back into the old habbits.

I lost 16 # by the 1 month mark, but then the scale didn't move for 2 weeks. At 6 weeks post-op, I got my first adjustment, and I started losing again. I think it has been 9 days since my fill, and I am down another 5 or 6 pounds.

My doctor says I should only go down to 160 pounds. I am 5'4" and I want to be below 150 or at least a size 12.........am I being unreasonable or should I shoot for my goal?

If you weigh on a body composition scale you would recognize that your weight is not all fat. I'm around 5' 5' and according to the composition scale that my dr uses my bones alone weigh 105lbs! Who would have thought? It also gives me how many lbs of fat is on my body and what the desired range should be. Last weigh-in I had, my weight stayed the same, however I lost 4lbs of body fat, but gained 4lbs of Fluid so I wasn't unhappy and discouraged. According to my dr I need to weigh at least 150 lbs. If 105 is already bone mass, then 45 is not a lot to share among flesh, fluid and muscle. So your doc probably knows what he's saying.

My doctor doesn't discuss numbers he always tells me we are going to see how you feel. When you feel you are done you are done..

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
