Im Scared I'm Gonna Cheat!

Recommended Posts

Yeah guys I am nervous that I am going to cheat on this pre-op diet ... all liquids for the pass 3 days

I have lost 5 pounds since Friday! But I am drooling dreaming of a big juicy ass cheese burger with lettuce and Tomato with mayo, ketchup, mustard and ohhhhhhhh my god I am losing it LOL! I am finally seeing what the "head hunger" is that everyone has been talking about here. I am not really hungry. I am just craving really tasty things. I just need some pep talk or something cause I am DETERMINED to prove my mother-in-law and hubby wrong because they think that I am going to cheat. They are being very supportive about this. I mean as much as they can be cause they aren't saying mean awful things to me ... they just want me to do what makes me happy. But at the same time they think it's just this "lapband diet" LOL like it's just some new diet thing that I am doing. And I wanna prove them wrong I can DO THIS! I CAN DO THIS! But I'm thinking about fried chicken LOL. But did any of you cheat out there ... 5 pounds in 3 days is pretty damn good LOL. I should be motivated by the pounds lost but I am not I want some food. But I might as well get used to it cause no more food til after surgery ... wayyyyyyy after surgery cause I will be on liquids for 2 weeks after surgery. So anyone out there please help I need a buddy! Especially if you are doing pre-op right now 2. Thanks for reading APPLES loves you:tt1: *KISSES*

I will try to help you as much as i can but... english is not my first language so.. I am doing very bad!

I am also on the pre-op diet. Slim fast all the way and I am also hungry like never be4! It's hard! It's my 8 of 10 days liquid diet be4 surgery. (it will be next thuersday). To help me to pass trought it, I am talking to myself in my head... after 1 day, I told: it is 10% done. After 2 days.... 20% (double of the first day :tt1:) after 5 day I said: yes! 50%!alf way! and so! and of course, I am trying to do something keeping busy my brain ...

Dont Cheat! It's feasable! just do it!:frown:

But if you do.... dont give-up! Keep focussed and it should not be too bad and you will get the surgery anyways.. good luck.

Thanks Queb I appreciate it! I am just trying to stay positive and think to myself well hey every pound you lose now ... you won't have to lose it after being banded!! But I didn't notice how much my life was centered around food until it is now taken away. And how much I think about food. It;s really crazy! I am shocked!

hey there,

one thing that has helped me stay on my pre op is that my surgeon explained about "fatty liver" the over abundant fat stores in the liver that leave it distended and very delicate and more likely to be injured during the surgery. alot of the preop diet is to help shrink and firm up that old liver to keep it from getting in the way or traumatized during surgery. hang in there (victorious valentine feb bandsters)

I'm on day 8 of my pre-op diet, and I think today has been the hardest day so far. I haven't cheated, but the thought has crossed my mind about a thousand times today. I'm not sure why today was so hard - today is also the first day I've had cold feet about the surgery. It's less than a week away! I alternate between being excited and being apprehensive. Anyone else feel like this?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
