NSV's for the Merry Losers

Recommended Posts

my NSV today was getting my first fill. I'm totally tripping out on what happened to me today. I had been feeling the normal ups and downs, but having this fill today, sparked a new feeling in me today. a feeling of joy and wonder. damn! it feels good

since I couldn't stop and eat anything after appt. I went and bought me a few blouses. I tried on 22/24 to big! I bought 3 blouses today size 18/20

now thats a victory

So I was looking for another pair of 30 to wear and found only 28's So I tried one on and it FIT!

Poor Kitty Cerrin . . . but YEA FOR YOU!!!!! That has to be the BEST DAMN FEELING! I've been pretty much stalled all month . . . but was able to put on some 20 capri's my dil had . . . that ZIP and BUTTON instead of elastic . . . that is HUGE for me . . . (just wish I didn't hate capris!)

I'm going on a cruise to Alaska in May . . . and my mom just shipped me a vest she had . . . its beautiful tan suede . . . and I can wear it like it is . . . BUT I now have motivation to get busy losing again because I WANT to be able to zip it . . . not just have it handing loose.

All these NSVs are great everyone! Keep them coming!

I held my 6-y.o. daughter on my lap yesterday without having to elevate my leg so she wouldn't slip off. There was room on my leg for all of her!

I walked up the stairs to my kids' gym observation deck quickly (though hauling myself with the rails, still) instead of my pre-band painfully slow one-step-at-a-time speed.

Tomorrow I am wearing a skirt to work that I bought when I first began my teaching career in 1999! There are still a few of those things I can't wear, but I'm into most of them!

I had a good one tonight I thought I would start to tan tonight so I went and I use to hate the regular beds b/c the top hit my stomach and I barely fit width wise BUT tonight I had room to spare I thought the lid wasn't shut tight ,so I tried to close it then I realized WOW I had lost that much weight and had room to spare wideth wise also so that made me feel great.

Today I had 3 pieces of turkey bacon(first time i tried it) I just nooked it ,it was very good and didn't taste much different then pork bacon to me :-). I made a pork roast in the crock pot for lunch, everyone has cabin fever so we took the kids and drove about 35 mins away and watched the eagles at a lock and damn and took some pics of the family. We came home and I walked 46 mins on the treadmill ,then cooked burgers on the george foreman and had some cottage cheese and sf jello.Pretty good day I think. Just wish I felt like I had restriction ,I am also one of those ppl or can eat as much as I will allow myself to and still be hungry b/w meals. Dr. doesn't want to do another fill yet :-(.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
