Hey, all. Surgery went well yesterday. My surgery sight isn't very painful, but the gas is. I'm still recovering in the ICU. They have me here because of getting an RNY and I'm on cpap. The staff has

  • Hi! I just got my surgery date today. It's May 16, very close to yours! I'm a little overwhelmed and waiting for the excitement to kick in :)

I believe my date is going to be May 8th. That's the date they submitted to my primary insurance (united healthcare). I don't have bariatric surgery coverage with my primary though so I'm waiting for

Here is a link to bariatric friendly recipes, including being able to filter by stage of diet. Very helpful!

Hi! I’m super new to the group and my date is May 30th. I start my liquid diet 5 days prior to my surgery

Yes all foods sound terrible. Didn't anticipate this. Soft stage will hopefully be better with more choice. I really can't wait to be past feeling this way. I feel better knowing that I'm not alone. Hugs everyone.

Hi everyone, had my gastric sleeve yesterday. I was afraid that I would be scared and nervous, not at all. So far evening is good, didn't have any gas pressure (lucky me). Hopefully everything will be smooth at home too.

Good luck to everyone who is still going into surgery!

Welcome, lucky you your liquid diet is so short. Best of luck....and all will be well.

Welcome everyone! As you know this journey is different
Sorry my phone is doing it’s own thing
As I was saying this journey is individual to each of us. Many are experiencing protein burnout, being waterlogged and other temporary bumps and snags. We are not trying to discourage or scare you, it may not happen to you. If it does it let’s you know, you are not alone, and this too shall pass. Best wishes on your journey and thanks for joining us.

I am SO TIRED. Is anyone else not able to shake the fatigue? I'm just over 3 weeks out, on puree and eating more calories - roughly 500. I usually get my Protein goals in. liquids are hit or miss, but I normally hit that or close on most days. Maybe dehydration? Not sure. But, man, I could sleep all day.

Today I start my post-op liquids which is 7 days before my surgery date May 31. I am a revisioner (if that's a word) so the liquid diet is my least favorite part.

I had mind during the puree stage. You just need to make sure you puree the sauce if needed. The mozzarella cheese on top was a no go once it started setting up.

I made it for lunch today OMG it is so gooooooood. I was craving pizza and this has done it for me. Couldn’t eat much it it in a 4oz ramekin and only could eat a little less than 1/4 but man it’s good

Yep! I plan on modifying it as my stages advance. Some turkey meatballs or zucchini noodles would be really tasty. I made this for my family too; with garlic bread, and they loved it.

I hear you on the tired. Tried to go for a walk today turned around at 1/4 mile and my butt was still waiting in the driveway.

Oh my gosh, seriously! The doctor assured me me today that it's normal and will pass...eventually. Until then, ZzZz.
On a good note, my 3 week check-up went really well

Had my surgery on may 17th, feeling awesome and have my follow up Friday!

Some of us are coming up on the 3 week stall. This article is very educational on why and what weight loss looks like moving forward.
