Protein suggestions for the holidays

Hello. I was wondering if any of you might share some ideas for types of proteins to eat during the holiday. Our family is not much for turkey. We did chicken for Thanksgiving. Ham I haven't tried. Do any of you have any good recipes or ideas? I would even consider a good take out place that might be found nationwide. I am in Phoenix, AZ. Thanks.

My perfect solution to anything band and holidays (or just fun) is FONDUE! We hosted a fondue event last season that went over VERY well, and if you think about it - it's kind of the perfect bandster meal. Small pieces of moist/tender meat, eating takes a long time because you cook each piece as you go, meats tend to be lean and healthy cuts, etc.

Appetizer was a gruyere and emmenthaler with crab leg meat and crusty bread. Main course was a broth fondue (chicken broth, OJ, seasonings) with choices of lobster tail chunks, shrimp, chicken, filet, salmon, pork, duck and ravioli. Desert was plain milk chocolate with fresh fruit, cheesecake, Peanut Butter Cookies, rice krispie treats, pretzels, etc.

You can make it as nice, or low key as you would like.

Wheet, that sounds so nummy. I've never even had fondue, looks like something fancy I see on TV.. my mom has always said they're a pain in the butt.. so I believed her.. But that sounds so yum.. I may have to buy a fondue set lol.
