I am scheduled to have my surgery on Weds and have already lost 12lbs since the 18th of March adhering to the pre-op diet. Does anyone have any major regrets about the surgery?

nope. I'd do it again every year if I had to. One of the best decisions I've ever made, and my only regret is I didn't do it years earlier.

I don’t have any insights about post-surgery regrets, but we’re surgery twins!

The last few weeks have been both super fast and weirdly slow, and I know the fact that surgery is 48 hours away has me in a bit of a spin!
Well done on sticking with your pre-op diet!
Are you feeling nervous? Would it help to share what your specific concerns are here?

I’m feeling a bit apprehensive, but my partner is a bit of a (kind, loving, and supportive) nervous wreck on my behalf.

Zero regrets about surgery, except as mentioned above not doing it sooner.

Only regret is not doing it a decade earlier. Has been a solid decision and an experience I'm incredibly grateful for.

None. Wish I hadn't waited so long (although I know the timing was right for various reasons).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
