How soon after surgery were you comfortable driving again?

I drove to my 1 week post-op appointment. Just gauge it by how you feel and go from there. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it, then don’t.

I drove 5 days after post op. Just be sure to don't drive after taking pain meds. I could have driven probably a day or two earlier, I just didn't have to. I have a desk job so I would have been ok to go back to work 3 days after surgery. Also I've always been a fast healer.

I've heard once you're off pain meds for a day or two you should be OK. I never took the pain meds once I got home, though, because I wasn't in any pain. I think I drove the first time when I was about a week out (but there was no need to leave because my husband took the week off to be with me - so he did whatever needed to be done - otherwise, I would have probably driven sooner)

I drove 3 days post op to pick up the dogs from the kennel. It was only about a 10 minute round trip and I hadn't been on pain killers since the hospital but I had no issues.
