  1. I much prefer protein water (such as premier protein clear) to protein shakes, when I had a phone call a few months ago with a nutritionist as a pre surgery requirement I was told I could drink the protein water and count it towards my clear liquids but I could not count it towards my protein requirements for the day, I can’t remember why she said that I was just wondering if anyone else was told this or anyone has an idea as to why it wouldn’t count towards protein goals, the premier clear has 20g protein
  2. I was sleeved 11/9 went home 11/10 the first couple days I had a lot of energy to walk but felt sore when going from laying to sottingnor standing, I’m 7 days post op now and have only taken Tylenol a couple of times in the past couple of days and am back to work today! More of a discomfort than pain

    Protein water

I emailed my nutritionist and she said that the shake will provide more nutrition than a water would but that I can incorporate the waters when I reach the food stage to get more protein and fluids! Thank you everyone

Thank you, I haven’t yet had my surgery, just trying to make sure I have a variety of protein drinks for after and bummed I was told the clear wouldn’t count towards my protein goal because I much prefer it!

    November 2020 sleevers

  8. Hello! I have a sleeve procedure scheduled in November and won’t be able to have anyone help with my littles, I know no heavy lifting is important after surgery and luckily my toddlers are very self sufficient in their large motor skills and moving around. I’m just wondering if anyone has any wisdom or stories about caring for children post op as I am having anxiety over if I will be able to do it!
  9. The ages are 2,2,7 I do feel like the hardest part will be not being able to lift them into a hug so I am thinking I will just need to sit and snuggle them. I believe we will be able to avoid car rides for awhile and they are no longer in cribs so as long as I can sit when they are having hugs I think I will be okay with not lifting them, hoping sitting and hugging them will be loving enough so they don’t feel rejected from not picking them up. Thank you for your input I appreciate it!
