I consider it a stall if I haven't lost weight in a week. I've had multiple stalls with the longest one lasting three weeks. You'll get passed this! It's completely normal!

Yep, if you don’t lose any weight in a week it’s likely a stall. (Think of them as your body playing catch-up with the changes you’re making.) Like NovaLuna, my longest stall persisted 3 weeks too & I experienced about 3 during my journey. Some people advocate shaking your body up by increasing or decreasing your exercise or food intake. I just continued with my routine & gave my body the time it needed & I eventually started losing again.

Good luck.

Yep - I weighed daily, but only officially recorded it weekly, so a week without loss (or a bit of gain) I chalked up to being a "stall". I only had one week without loss until I started ramping up my calories to slow down the loss leading into goal (and my "three/third week stall was maybe a day - it's a big YMMV thing.) There are too many Water weight effects to worry about daily fluctuations.

I went by this criteria as well, though I’d also add inch loss. So NO weight loss AND no inch loss for more than 7 days = STALL.

Based on this, I didn’t have any stalls during weight loss phase. But everyone’s mileage will vary.

P.S. I weighed every day (and still do) and took my measurements once a week.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
