I am going into week 2 and I can start eating Soup. I am planning on making my own. I bought a cookbook for food but many of their Soups seem to have cheese added. Should I being consuming cheese at this stage? Or should I just subtract this ingredient?

All plans are different. When in doubt, contact your dietician or look at your bariatric food stage paperwork.

I’m in stage 2 now. Tonight i bought a Progresso low fat cheese chicken enchilada Soup. Heated it up then puréed it in blender. The best meal I’ve had yet. I had 1 cup and tolerated excellent. Converted to bypass 9/29 due to reflux.

Congrats on your surgery.

cheese can be a little rich for your tummy to digest at first so go slowly. I puréed or strained all the Soups I made or bought so no chunky or stringy bits. I also diluted it with extra stock or Water so it was easier to swallow/eat. Better to be gentle on your tummy to begin. Don’t be surprised if you can only consume a small amount at a time. I kept my Soup in a small thermos & would sip it over a couple of hours.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
