I'm wanting to get a revision to the sleeve I had in 2015 I've gained roughly 70lb and I feel like I or the sleeve failed me. So I want the bypass now. Any input on this

I had the gastric bypass. Its been 12 years. I gained a few pounds not much, I'm still in my ideal weight range. So I think the bypass is great. I got the bypass instead of the sleeve because I wanted quick results. I don't know if this is a good reason to get it done but it worked for me. My son just got the balloon done and he loves it. Although I had the bypass I would get the sleeve or the balloon and lose it slowly. Mentally, its very hard to lose all that weight in such a short period. I lost 140 pounds in under a year. It took a lot to getting used to...to tell you the truth I still struggle and its been 12 years.

it may be hard for some, but it's not for everyone. It wasn't hard on me at all. I wonder if your program just didn't offer the support that some do - or maybe it's because you had your surgery several years ago before they realized that people need support??

I had a gastric bypass in November 2016, lost 70pounds and kept it for about 2.5 years until I fell and broke the hip. Since than I gained about 25 pounds. Now I am trying to loose weight, but nothing happens. Any suggestion.

go back to weighing/measuring and tracking your food, if you haven't already. I've found that if I don't, i start underestimating my calorie intake after awhile. Also, try to go back to the way you were eating the first year - Protein first, then non-starchy vegetables. Then, if you have room, a small serving of fruit or whole-grain carb. I'm doing all that now because I want to lose 8-10 lbs. It'll be slow, but it should work...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
