Look in the sidebar for a thread calling out all January 2020 sleevers. You will get your "whole January class" of WLS partners that way! :D It's fun to get and give support to each other especially in those early days!

Yayy! Omg Jan 2 is so far away. I am so excited to have the surgery. I have worked on losing a lot of weight myself from the 336 to the current 277. So I have pretty good self control saying no to food already. I am just so excited to be able to not feel like an empty pit. Cause when I limit my calories I feel just Terribly hungry all the time. Let me know how ur recovery goes and how u feel.

This is my first post. :) I had my sleeve done on 1/21/20. My weight this morning was 263, so I'm down a total of 44 pounds since my starting weight (in August). I had some cardiac complications the day after surgery so it's been a slow recovery but I'm glad I had the procedure! I'm happy to commiserate/chat.

Omg that is great!! Down 44! I had surgery 1/14 and am down 32lbs. We also have a January group which is so amazing and friendly. It say pre op but all of us in January are now post op! We share recipes and just different recommendations from all the different plans.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
