Not a subject I want to ask about buuut here I am. Is there such thing as late dumping? I had a couple things this weekend that I know I shouldn’t have and woke up this morning and till right now with a watery bowel movement. The only thing that I can think of that can be a reason to it is that I had 2% milk yesterday morning (normally I have Fairlife fat free) and it wasn’t even half a cup that I Drank. I ended up rushing to the restroom after about 2 oz in to vomit and it’s the only thing that came up. I’ve had a weird feeling in my stomach (not like a pain but like something similar to how you feel when bloated) and with a slight headache. I been good on my Water until this weekend I lagged.

I think the headache is from being slightly dehydrated. And no, I don't think dumping can be delayed. Dumping is from your gallbladder dumping a ton of bile into the small intestine because you consume something sugary or fatty and your gallbladder thinks you're about to eat a big meal so it thinks you need all the bile! Well as we know none of us eat big meals so all that bile goes straight through you, causing dumping. So I don't see how that could delay.

dumping usually happens pretty quickly after you eat. It happens when sugar hits your small intestine. Plus it's pretty rare in sleeve patients - it's a lot more common in bypass patients.

Reactive hypoglycemia is sometimes referred to as "late dumping", but from what I understand, that typically happens a couple of hours after eating. And again, sugar is usually the culprit - it's caused by your blood sugar surging and then crashing.

not sure what you had - maybe a bug? Or maybe some fluke? I guess I'd say just monitor it and let your surgeon know if it becomes a pattern.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
