I'll be 3 weeks post OP tomorrow and my incision glue is still on. I've tag it should only stay like a week. Should I do something to take it off at this point? It is starting to peel at the edges a little.

I was told the same thing but mine stayed tight on until four weeks post-surgery, when it mostly flaked off and then the rest easily stripped off.

Let it peel on its own! You don’t want to pull out a stitch and get a hole (that’s what happened to me by tugging on the peels) it’ll make a bigger scar.

I'm 3 weeks post op as well and I still have some glue on a couple incisions. Definitely just leave it alone and let it fall off. I had one rub on my underwear and come off too soon and wound up with a small infection in that one. The ones that have fallen off on there own are healing nicely and don't look like they will leave much of a scar.

I am six weeks out and was told to trim off the glue as it starts to peel, but don't pull it off yourself. I just trimmed of the last of my glue yesterday.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
