Good morning y’all ! In less than 2 hours I will be checking into the hospital for surgery. So nervous but so ready and excited. Prayers and good vibes are really appreciated today. Good luck to my surgery twins today. We’ve

I had my gastric bypass on Friday and I am feeling GREAT! They even sent me home a little after noon on Saturday. ? No problems meeting protein or fluid goals. You’ve got this for sure. ?

10/9 Sleeve, doing good, have noticed some return to bad grazing habits, so keeping myself in line with that.

10/29 Sleeve, doing well over all, but like you have noticed the grazing habits sneaking back in. Working on getting that back under control.

It's amazing how it can sneak back in once you let it.

I have been having the same problem!!

Sissyj.....surgery on Oct 28th.

Since my surgery on Oct 28,2019

at Piedmont Newnan Hospital I have lost 37# but 70 # total of highest weight in July....Dr, Morris in Newnan was my Doctor...He and his staff are wonderful. I feel like a totally different person an look so different....Not using walker or cane anymore...PTL...God is good. I took a bath in shower in my tub this morning for first time in 4 years....I have been using a regular shower because I could not lift my leg up high enough to clear the tub..I was in the tub before I realized that I had gotten in there with no problems...felt sooooo good... I have been off BP medicine since 3 days post surgery. Have more energy and loving life again.

How is everyone doing all of these months later?

Sorry, been tardy in logging on. My weight loss is slow. I’m down 70 lbs as of yesterday. . But feeling good and happy for the loss!!!!

I wish I had better news. I had sleeve surgery October 6. Shortly thereafter I developed a severe case of meraglia paresthetica, and they put me on all kinds steroids and nerve pain medicine. It completely STOPPED my weight loss for months, and brought on hunger with a vengeance. I have only lost 53 pounds, which has been disheartening. However, it is still 53 pounds gone. Have another 50 to go. ( I am also a revision patient so that can also account for a slower loss. ) My restriction is still there, but like most of us, I have to be careful and resist the urge to "graze". I take one day at a time and hope for the best. My nerve condition will be lifelong but fortunately not nearly as severe and I decided to stop the meds and manage it naturally. . It is wonderful to read how everyone is doing. Congrats to all on your successes.

Hello, checking in. I had my surgery on 10/01/2019. As of today I’m down 73 points. I know it’s slower than most but I’m okay with that. Truth is I’ve allowed my self some carbs and sugar and I need to be better. Still feeling good and labs are good. Wishing everyone the best!!

I hope everyone is doing well. I’m struggling with grazing as well. Let’s not give up. I feel Better than I’ve felt in years! I’m down 70 pounds total. I haven't worked out in a month . SMH. Surgery was 10/22/19

Hi

i had my surgery 14/10/19.

I have lost about 70lb so far. Feeling good and on track. Sometimes I forget and eat too fast or too much and have episodes of foamies and pain. I’m trying to stop this.

Hope all of you are doing well xx

october 3rd!

Hi. I hope all my October 2019 surgery buddies (and everyone else) are doing well in these trying times.

My surgery was on Oct. 24, '19 and I'm doing pretty well. I struggle with sloth :) I tend to not get moving daily now. Just like the old days before the surgery. I use the excuse of the gym being closed, but I don't walk like I should either.

But I'm still way more active than I was before the weight loss, it's much easier to move now.

How is everyone else managing their exercise/non-exercise habits?

I started my preop diet on 5 May 2019 and tend to think of this date as my anniversary, rather than my actual surgery date of 15 Oct 2019. Since May 2019 I've lost about 140lbs; 90lbs of this was after being sleeved. I lead a very busy, very active life and my goal weight is within sight, but it's more important to me to be fit, strong, and healthy, which I now am. Before becoming MO, I was a competitive athlete, and am again able to participate in sports and fitness the way I used to. There have been dozens of NSV's, and I'm grateful for every one of them. My focus continues to be on the psychological adjustments and actions required to permanently change my habits and behaviors. Since the coronavirus lockdown, I've continued to strictly follow an eating and exercise schedule so that I remain on track. With so much uncertainty at this time, what I put in my mouth and do with my body are one of the few things within my control right now. Congrats and well done to all my fellow Oct sleevers.
