Robotic sleeve surgery
I had mine done in October. No complications and less invasive. I’d recommend going that way.

October Surgery Roll Call
10/29 Sleeve, doing well over all, but like you have noticed the grazing habits sneaking back in. Working on getting that back under control. It's amazing how it can sneak back in once you let it.

Switching to soft foods
I bought canned chicken and used a little low fat mayo to moisten so I could get my chicken fix. Make sure you chew like you are supposed to. I tried baby food chicken and turkey also. It wasn’t too bad. I puréed chili my husband cooked. Cottage cheese was my go to most of the time. Good luck. I’m still learning as tomorrow I’m off restriction but I’m trying to make sure to notice when I actually full.

Did mine today - by robot
Congrats on the surgery and great success to the future. I had mine done 10/29 with robot assisted. I only had to have the medicine to prevent blood clots while I was in the hospital. They just put it into my IV. I only had one IV and I didn't experience much pain at all. Went home next day and only took pain pills for 2 days. The pain was just discomfort.

Need help
I was told if it takes 1 hr to get your shake it's ok. There's no race on how long it should take to drink it. Just as long as you get the protein that is needed.

Pre-Op Diet popsicles
Only multi colored ones sugar free. Sugar free fudge ones is good when you are on full liquids after surgery thats is what my information said to me.

I'm scheduled for Oct. 29th. Working on day 4 of pre-op total liquid. It's getting better, but I'm still feeling hungry. I have to remind myself why I'm doing it and keep going. Definitely talking day by day. Congrats to those of you who have had it done this month and Good luck to those who are patiently waiting.

Who will you tell (or not tell) about WLS?
I'm thinking of telling my parents and sisters this weekend. Surgery is the 29th of October. Why do you wish you didn't tell them? If you don't want to answer that is fine, I'm a little nervous of telling mine.

October sleevers?????
Surgery is 10/29 - I'm on day 2 of pre-op liquid diet. Carnation breakfast packet with 1/2 scoop of protein with 8 oz of skim milk - 5 times a day (3-4 hours) apart. I have to drink 64 oz water, plus I can have sugar free popsicles and jello. I'm using those as my "mid day" snacks. I'm a little worried about the weekend as this has always been my hardest time when eating.

October sleevers?????
I like you pre-op diet. Mine is totally 5 meals a day that are liquid. It consists of -1 pkg carnation breakfast light, 8 oz skim milk, and 1/2 scoop protein powder. for 14 days before and 6 days after.
