  1. Hello. I tried several different proteins sources after my surgery (10/24/19). I didn't like any of them just the way they came, The prepackaged ones being too thick and overly sweet. I now drink this easy concoction daily (still). 3/4 scoop Unjury Chocolate Splendor 1/4 scoop Unjury Unflavored I adjust according to my flavor cravings for the day sometimes I make it less sweet than the ratio I gave here. It's easy to get the ratio right, just fill one scoop 3/4 full (or a half) full and top it off with the unflavored. Nothing to it! Good luck on your journey! Sarah P.S. Unjury has 2 different sample kits for sale, (I swear I don't work for the Unjury company). https://unjury.com/bundles/basic-sampler-kit/
  2. My update- Starting weight 296 Surgery day 280 Current weight 174 Feeling great with no problems with cravings. I don't feel hungry very often (knock on wood).
  3. Hi. I hope all my October 2019 surgery buddies (and everyone else) are doing well in these trying times. My surgery was on Oct. 24, '19 and I'm doing pretty well. I struggle with sloth I tend to not get moving daily now. Just like the old days before the surgery. I use the excuse of the gym being closed, but I don't walk like I should either. But I'm still way more active than I was before the weight loss, it's much easier to move now. How is everyone else managing their exercise/non-exercise habits?
  4. Thank you! I had just gotten a trim before the quarantine started and my stylist recommended a shorter style to hide the thinning, but I decided to wait till warmer weather. Now I wish I'd just gotten it done then. I do have curly shoulder length hair so it's not as noticeable as it would have been if I'd left it longer.
  5. I also started shedding 2 months post-op. It's now 5 months post-op and I'm still losing. It's becoming noticeable but I can't get it cut till the stylists are back. Should be the least of my worries, but I guess I'm vain...
  6. I still see the old me when I look in the mirror. It takes a photo to make me see the new me.
  7. I had RNY on Oct 24 and I'm feeling like a new person. I'm down 102 lbs from my heaviest, and 88 lbs from surgery day.
  8. Thanks for the encouragment. I don't know anyone who's had the surgery that I could ask.
  9. I had RNY on 10/24/19 and at about 3 months I started losing hair and it hasn't stopped yet! I am surprised at how much I lose every day. Please someone tell me that this will end. I don't have thick hair to begin with, yikes!!!
  10. What I'm feeling is very sharp pain on the left side, I go to the Dr on Wednesday for my follow-up. My whole abdomen is bruised and painful.
  11. Thanks! I will try the ice. I am walking as much as I am able. My follow-up is this coming Wednesday.
  12. I had my surgery on Oct 24 and I'm still in pain. Is this what others have experienced?
  13. Good luck tomorrow! You'll do great. I hear you on the no more hunger thing. I'm 6 days into the pre-op and I'm sooo hungry. Had my EGD today and will be having RNY on Oct 24!!!
