Absolutely! I just got the call that the insurance company approved my surgery for 9/17/19. We scheduled it way out because my insurance wanted me to quit smoking for 6 months but would not approve it if I proved I hadn't smoked.

That’s great it’s approved now.. well done on no smoking!

Today’s the day! See y’all on the losers bench!??

Good luck!

Hi. If anyone is curious I had my surgery Tuesday. As of today I’m doing well. No need for pain meds. My stomach feels still so bloated though. Like I’m pregnant! No big issues with my liquids just not that interested. Its like a job to fit everything in. Passing gas is a challenge but walking around is helpful. Any questions feel free to message me. Im more than happy to share any of it if will help! Good luck to those coming up!

Happy for you. I almost did not get clearance cause of elevated WBC. Redid test & all came in good & Im now cleared for my surgery 9/23!

Nagatha - hope you get feeling better soon. Are you a mystery buff as well? I ask due to your name. I’m a HUGE mystery/murder fan.

There are like 6 or 7 others in here with the same surgery day. I was contemplating going thru and making a list and chat that we were all in to update each other. I'm on the same day for RNY.

I only have two more days!! The nerves are setting in! All of the final preop diet/wash/packing, etc. will be tomorrow. I have knots in my stomach.

I'm with you on Wed, the nerves have kicked into overdrive here as well.

Mines tomorrow! Today is the only day I have to stick to a clear liquid diet. I'm wicked excited but trying to keep busy to keep my mind off of food and what's going to happen tomorrow! I'm so excited and nervous and anxious and ecstatic and happy.

My surgery is Friday. Works no all week will help to get thru the rest of the liquid diet. So far so good but having trouble getting a whole protein shake in, in one meal. The clear protein drinks seem to be more palatable. Ordered some more protein chicken broth. Any others ideas for pushing thru? It has been helpful to see othersgoing thru as I am.

I’ve made my chocolate one like smoothie. Not sure if you can add but put in some peanut butter protein powder that you can definitely have later.
