You just had major surgery. You should feel tired and weak. Give it a few more days.

It's normal, walk as often as you can to build back up some energy.

Not sure what your expectations are. Major surgery and reduced food are all going to take a long time to recover from. I wouldn’t be signing up for an ironman anytime soon

I had the sleeve done 11 days ago and for me i kinda thought this surgery was going to give me energy to be able to play with my 2 kids but i found out that the energy comes much much later. Like months! I also thought (from my surgeon) i wasnt supposed to be hungry sence they removed the appetite hormone in the part of the stomach they cut off that hunger wouldnt come back for 3 yrs. Apparently that was a load of crap! Unless my body is the one in million that doesnt work like that. Im starving and i know alot of people are starving in the liquid faze but goodness gracious its harder than i thought it was going to be. I thought i was going to be comparing the liquid faze to the hcg diet but its much worse. Im kinda a sour person right now so hopefully i dont offend anyone :)

im tired, weak and feel like i have no muscles in my body to hold me up and that doesnt change if i drink more Water or Protein. My body just doesnt like this. Im actually giving my kids a bath right now sitting here exhausted and i havent even washed there hair yet.. :(

Anyways i wish u a better journey on ur weight loss.

on a positive note i have lost 18pounds!

Yes, major surgery coupled with a drastic reduction in caloric consumption will do that. The caloric deficit made me feel weak and light-headed a lot, until just recently.

I’m on day 5 post op and I agree it is major surgery similar to what I experience having my gall bladder out or a c-section. I am doing things little by little and feeling better everyday but need to take tests in between and focus on healing and how my new stomach communicated with me. I’m on phase two which means I can introduce yogurt but I’m scared and still on liquid Proteins. I don’t have hunger like I used to although my stomach does have another sensation that comes and goes... trying to figure out if it’s too much liquid, it’s empty or it’s just shocked I’m putting something in it:)

Hang in there. Think about the long term. You're almost there.

I had surgery 4 days ago. I’m feeling tired and weak? Anyone else experience this?
Hi there,
I'm on day 1 post OP and feel the same way. I just finished putting away clothes and now I'm exhausted. I know it will take time. The liquid diet is not wonderful but its just a week and I can live with that. Happy weight journey

Don't over do it. I was told by my surgeon that taking time and resting was okay. Our bodies have just went through a huge change. Take your time. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
