Low Energy Levels 1st week

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I had an EGS on Monday. On the whole I've felt pretty good. Some pain post op. Some nausea (usually in the middle of the night).

It's all fading day by day and for the most part I feel pretty normal.

However, I don't have a lot of energy and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. It's like I feel sleepy a lot.

Thanks!

I had extremely low energy the first 2 weeks. At my post-op 13 days later they gave me a Vitamin B12 shot which helped tremendously.

I Saw the Dr again today for my 2 month post-op and got another shot. She also ordered shots I can administer monthly as well.

Give it some time, it definitely gets better!

Hi, I had my surgery on Tuesday. I feel a lot like PamPita1. I have moderate nausea and my throat is still a little sore. I have very low energy but i also have not been drinking as much as i should. Should i be taking the chewable vitamins i have yet? Thanks for any advice! :)

      RE: the running/training
Honestly it started with me just doing laps around the kitchen that first post-op week.
In a week, I graduated to walking up and down my street, then to walking around the block every day.
The distance increased, then the speed.
Then I started running little spurts during my walks, then to alternating 1km runs with 1km walks.
And now I can do a continuous 10k (which I totally did for the first time this morning...so full of myself about it today, it’s disgusting.)
Just do something everyday and slowly increase speed and duration, next thing you know you’ll be one of those odd “running people” (who I never understood pre-op, but now totally get, lol)

Happy Sunday! I like weird people. Normal people are boring! :) I began following you and wanted to know if there are any other members you would recommend? My surgery is 8/29/19 and I want to learn as much as possible. Have a great day and thanks so much for the website.
