Do you get hunger headaches post-op?

Whenever I'm in a caloric deficit I get a hunger headache. I was just wondering if any of you that have dealt with this pre-op are still dealing with it post-op because of so few calories you're taking in. Basically do you have a headache all the time?

  • You know on my print- out I receive from my PCP it states I have "intractable cerviogenic and low blood sugar headaches" but af5er my surgery it's like my thermostat reset, I am not bothered as badly

  • Hi. Not sure if they’re hunger headaches or sugar withdrawal? The latter I think. Horrible though!

Oh that's good you're feeling better! The headaches sound like they might be a problem after surgery until you're body gets used to the low calorie intake.

Thanks for your input ?

No, I haven't had any headaches post-op 4 months. Whew!

I used to get headaches every few days ...I am fairly sure it was all blood pressure related because I am almost 2 months post op and I think I have had one minor headache to date. :) now allergy season is starting, so we will see .....

Thanks you guys. Now that I'm getting closer to getting a surgery date (they submitted to insurance on Monday) I'm really trying to think of anything that might come up after surgery that's either normal or not normal. So any input helps!

You know on my print- out I receive from my PCP it states I have "intractable cerviogenic and low blood sugar headaches" but af5er my surgery it's like my thermostat reset, I am not bothered as badly with them or migraines, hadn't thought about it before, but when you aren't bothered, you don't fret the absence. And I wish the same good reaction for YOU!❤

Thank you Frustr8. I’m glad you’re not bothered by them anymore :)
