Starting weight: 282.4

Surgery weight: 269.5 (7/30/18 - RNY)

Current weight: 206 (fluctuating between 203-206 since the beginning of February)

Seeing everyone else's stats makes me feel like a little bit of a slow poke or failure, even though generally I feel great about the work I've done and progress I've made. I share that as a reminder to not get hung up on comparing yourself with others!

Can I report too? Mine has not the usual RnY recovery but it still is my path, even with stenosis, ulcerations and TPN/PICC l8ne in my recent past.
Highest weight 365+ October 2017
Surgery Weight 319 September 5th 2018
And DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!
Yesterday March 26 2019- 3 months past my 73rd Birthday and just short of 7 months out
234.6 pounds of getting littler ME!
As I told the last "Nasty Parker" that accosted me last week--
I am nearly Half the woman I used to be and twice as happy as I expected!
Maybe would have phrased it differently but she came up and stated" I suppose You Think you're smart losing weight at your age and risking your health!" No frankly I was risking it much by remaining as obese as I was- Now. move to one side Irene ( perhaps Bye Felecia's Aunt?) Because this New Woman has places to go, goals to achieve and people to go see. If you can't be happy for me,co am deleting you from my life! Maxine Milquetoast has gone FOREVER!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
