Feeling of fullness

Hi! I am exactly one week post op, and I have kind of a silly sounding question. When I eat or drink anything, I don’t really get a feeling a fullness like I did before surgery. My surgeon said to stop eating at the first sign of fullness, but I don’t know what that sign is in my new body! Obviously I’m still taking things slow and being mindful, but does anyone have any helpful indicators to help me tell when my stomach says no more?? And does anyone else struggle with this??

You're still on liquids, right? When you get to soft foods and real food, you'll feel the fullness. You won't be able to eat much more than 2 oz and you'll feel full right away.

What @GradyCat said and you’re body will definitely let you know 🤢My full feeling post op is totally different from before as well. For me I can have any of these signs : a pressure under my sternum, hiccups, belching and sometimes even a sneeze. I’ve heard other people say they get a runny nose ( something to do with our vagus nerve). Just take it s l o w! As many times as you’ve heard it, it can’t be stressed enough. There has been times when that full feeling has kicked in WHILE I was chewing the next bite. Luckily I didn’t get sick but I was uncomfortable enough to learn my lesson.
