Yes, 1 week before by surgery I was the same way. What I did was try to stay inside as much possible, I took severe coldTylenol, rested, and drank a lot of water. It helped a lot .. hope you feel better ?

Take a lot of Vitamin C and rest and try to get over it before the surgery. Good luck!

I was sick on the day of my surgery and they said it doesn't stop the surgery. Actually, whatever antibiotics they gave me kicked butt on the sinus infection/cold I had. :D

Im a little sick now, sore throat and ears hurt. Just took my temp and it was normal. Surgery in the morning so ive been worried they will cancel.

You should be OK. I had my bypass done mid December and had a sinus infection and a slight cough. I think as long as you don't have the flu, they will move forward with your surgery as planned. It's those contagious viruses that they are concerned with. They have a tendency to weaken your immune system to a dangerous level and then there's the whole "make everyone else sick that comes around you" aspect.
