My VSG is scheduled for January 7th, 2019. I have to get it done before school starts up, which is January 14th. Is anyone else celebrating getting a surgery date like I am!?

My surgery is scheduled for January 21st and I get more excited every day. I can’t wait to start this journey and lose this extra weight. I’m on my pre-op diet now and it’s not too bad so far but it’s definitely going to be an interesting almost-three weeks until my surgery date.

I had my surgery yesterday. Dr. said everything went great. Surgery took 40 minutes.

A little soreness, but that is as expected. Going home from the hospital tomorrow am.

I’m having my surgery on January 29th. I’m mentally trying to prepare myself for the surgery before I go on my liquid diet.

13 days to go for me. Starting all liquids tomorrow. That should be interesting... :)

If I may offer some advice....Keep your protein levels high or you'll start to cannibalize muscle.

My dr and nurse have not mentioned anything about a liquid diet just yet.

My VSG surgery is on the 24th and have meeting with surgeon on the 17th . Maybe it will be mentioned then?

My surgery date is 1/21 and I have been on my pre diet then the liquid diet 6days before my surgery! Excited and nervous can’t wait for the day to come and everything be ok.

Anxious about the pre op diet. Feel like I'm saying goodbye to carbs

You'll be fine. I started liquid diet again at the hospital. Dinner includes:

Broth, sugar free jello, tea and water with a crystal lite packet.

Not liking broth and not a hot tea drinker.

I get full on a jello and some crystal light.

When I go home tomorrow, I can include clear premier protein
