Apparently I'm single and should start thinking about dating again.

Where are people meeting each other these days?

But the stories! You can entertain people for hours with internet dating gone wrong tales! I’ve always considered that the silver lining of bad dates.

All I want is someone to lay in tall grass beside me reading Walden with my toes on the cusp of are on their lips...

Is that too much to ask for?

But also me

Part deux:

So doubling back, about a week ago I decided to once again delete my all of online dating profiles. Yes, again. Literally right before I did I get messaged by the seemingly nicest guy. So I tell him I'm deleting because he is super interested and I didn't want him to believe that I was a fake profile.

He gave me his number. I took the chance and we began texting as friends. Nothing crazy. But general life friend stuff. He is very very very very interested in me.

Problem:

He is a widower. With teens.

To be continued...

Voted off the island...

Update on my dating nonsense: I found a great cardio partner but couldn't see it going beyond anything but that. Hmmm. Well I did say i want to devote January to my fitness ;)

Lol. Just different dating pools.

It's a bit weird to see the increased attention since dropping weight. A part of me is turned off by it and the other part is fully taking advantage of it.

I’m divorced, dating is so awkward for me. The older I get the more corny I get. I’ve lost all my cool and just talk about how I’m on meds to keep my anxiety away. Reading this I see why I’m single lmao. But my meds have me so calm I don’t even give a f&ck
I'm single and my meds also keep me calm and I don't think it's the meds. Ever since I got divorced it's just a matter of having to take care for anyone else. I'm 57 and not wanting to cook or anything else for anyone else. I love being single. It's much more relaxing.

Found something in my readings to share
Superwoman-Single
Batwoman-Single
Wonder Woman-Single
And this is why I am single, I'm really a Superhero!
Have a Wonderful Day!

I think you are more correct, since the last divorce my family is overall happier than ever. Some people are just evil miserable people with no intention of making a better life for their family and this overall planet
Now you don't have to play a role for someone else, freeing isn't it? You can be yourself and know in your heart it is just where you really should be.

That's true, we should create a directory of people to avoid...

???????????????

I'm going on vacation and my cardio partner who lives in that country just texted to inform me "I am clearing that entire week". Woo!

But that is over two months away and I am just going to get flat-out mean if I don't get this dating thing spun up. What's the best dating app everyone's using? I'm thinking of trying Coffee Meets Bagel. The "I'm looking for a serious relationship" apps terrify me and I don't want those, and I also can't believe there's not an actual co-branded "Netflix and Chill" app, which is pretty much what I'm looking for.
